Bi-directional communication on the CAN 1 Bus lets Directed’s system function without a flaw.  It allows the aftermarket security system remote controls to operate factory security, and the factory remote to operate the aftermarket alarm. It  includes a time-saving T harness, providing plug-in connection to virtually any Directed system.

The DEI CAN1 installs quickly between the CAN bus and the Directed security system, to provide 2-way digital communication between the security system and the vehicle.  Functions controlled by CAN1 include, Lock and Unlock, Factory alarm arm and disarm, Windows open and close, Trunk release, Driver’s priority unlock.

The DEI  CAN1 can turn the Headlights, Parking light flash, Hazard lights and radio on or off. CAN1 can also read the engine speed and brake pedal and provide outputs for use with aftermarket remote start systems.*

The DEI CAN1 comes with a universal harness and a T-harness that will allow CAN1 to plug into most Directed systems with a 12-pin main harness.
